Metamorphic Technique

Instinctively we, and all animals have the ability to heal ourselves, humans have lost that instinct. Life is the power that heals. With Metamorphic Technique the healer can help the client rediscover this ability. The important factor here is to have no expectation - it is just an awakening of the structure of time laid down in the gestation period of everyone. This means our physical, mental, emotional and behavioral structures.

We are the consciousness that is developed during gestation - the culture we are born into, the experiences of our parents, and evolution. Metamorphic Technique focuses on the gestation period and the healer works on particular parts of the feet, hands and head. This therapy is particularly beneficial for the mentally and physically handicapped people and for those keen on personal growth. It is important for the practitioner to have no expectations when treating clients and not try to direct the energy in any way. The patient’s life force will direct the healing; the practitioner is just the catalyst. The end result is the fulfillment of the patient’s inner programming and transformation. It is a movement from who we are to who we can be. Through Metamorphic Technique we get in touch with the principles of life and the underlying universal laws. Our potential is limitless.

The largest focus of a Metamorphic Technique is on the feet. The feet correspond to the quality of movement, the primary function of the Universe. The hands and head are expressions of secondary functions and thinking.

The practitioner uses his fingers to create small movements up and down the spinal reflex on the feet. He then follows a similar path on the hands. The final step is work on the head from the crown to the base of the skull and around the occipital ridge, mastoid bone, to just above the ear. He works first with the right foot and then the left, the right hand and then the left, the right side of the head and lastly the left side. The right side reflects masculine energies and the present while the left side reflects the feminine energies and potential patterns for life that were established during gestation. By starting on the right side, the life force clears the way for the potential to be released.

Treatments are given for about an hour once a week, although the patient will instinctively know how many sessions and how frequently they should be given. It is not necessary to work the hands and head initially as the feet are the primary focus.

Reiki Healing

Reiki is a form of hands-on healing that transforms and heals the body, mind and emotions. It increases vitality and enables the body to heal itself. It is the Universal energy that the practitioner transmits to the client by use of symbols that the practitioner has been attuned to. (An attunement is a ceremony used to align the energy for use in healing.) The practitioner does not transmit his/her own energy. By laying their hands on or slightly above the chakras and organs of the body, the Reiki practitioner transmits this Universal energy to the client. Reiki is an intelligent energy that comes from God/Universe (however you perceive it). With the attunements we have a greater capacity to use this wonderful energy for the good of all. Reiki energy will direct itself to where it is need most, to relieve imbalance and the cause of dis-ease that the client is experiencing. Reiki can heal the physical body by working on the cause of the illness. It promotes the qualities of love and compassion. It will not interfere with medical treatments but rather enhance them to bring optimal healing. Reiki is good for all living things. I can never harm and is perfectly safe to use in any situation.

The known origin of Reiki goes back to a Buddhist, Dr Mikao Usui, who lived in Japan. Dr Usui founded the Reiki system of healing in the late 19th century and began actively teaching in the 1920’s. He kept his teachings of Reiki very exclusive and it wasn’t until after his death that Mrs Takata, a student of his, took the teachings to the west. Reiki became very popular the world over in the 1970’s

Today there are many styles of Reiki being taught. Originally the teachings were oral and no manuals were allowed. This resulted in teachers adding their own aspects and techniques into their teaching and the origina was changed a little. This does not dilute the original or make it invalid; all healing energy is Divine energy and can only be used for the good of all concerned. The original teachings of Dr Usui were rediscovered when his memorial was found in the early 1970’s. This has enhanced modern teachings of Reiki as many forgotten techniques were re-introduced.
